Pat Zmolek was elected in a special election Tuesday to fill a vacancy on the Jefferson city council. He will serve until Dec. 31, 2021.
Unofficial results show Zmolek with 365 votes (55.05 percent) and Sean Sebourn with 298 votes (44.95 percent). There were three write-in votes.
Voter turnout was 21.26 percent.
The Greene County supervisors will canvass the vote next Monday.
